The mine car is a narrow-gauge railway transportation vehicle that transports coal, ore and waste rock and other bulk materials in the mine. Generally, it must be pulled by a locomotive or a winch.
According to different structures and unloading methods, mine carts are divided into 5 categories: fixed mine carts (material carts, flatbed carts), single-sided curved rail side inclined mine carts, bottom dump carts and shuttle mine carts.
Minecart structure
Mine carts can be loaded with ore gates or loaders. China developed bucket loading trains in the 1970s. It consists of a bucket car, a lifting platform and a train of mine cars. After the bucket car is filled with materials, it is lifted up by the lifting platform and travels along the car side of the mine car, and transferred to each car one by one, which improves the handling speed and realizes the continuous loading of the mine car. The bucket loading train has a simple structure and a small turning radius, which can be modified by the original standard mine car.
There is a rim on the inner side of the mine car wheel, and there is a certain gap between the rim and the rail. The tread surface of the wheel and the rail is made into a tapered shape to keep the wheel set in the center when running along the track, reducing mechanical wear and running resistance. There are three types of China's standard narrow-gauge railway gauges: 600 mm, 727 mm and 900 mm. The basic structural components of the minecart are the car box and the frame.
